Insurance
We are considered an out-of-network provider for most PPO insurance plans. If you have PPO insurance you may be eligible for partial reimbursement for your therapy sessions. Many individuals are reimbursed 50-80% of the fee, which means the out of pocket cost could end up being $20-100 per session.
Verify your out of network benefits here (use this number in the ‘Therapist Name or NPI field: 1255818837) :
See below for more information about seeking insurance reimbursement.
How To Seek Insurance Reimbursement
Get an estimate of your benefits with this online benefits calculator.
Then call your insurance company to verify benefits. Some questions to ask:
Q: Will you reimburse for mental health service providers that are out of network?
Q: Do I have a deductible to meet before you will reimburse?
Q: Have I met any portion of that deductible yet?
Q: What is the reimbursement rate?
Once you verify your benefits, you will still be responsible for paying out of pocket for each appointment. Once a month we will email you a superbill (insurance lingo for receipt), which you can then submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.
Some insurance companies have an online portal where you can upload a photo of your superbill and it will be processed relatively quickly, usually within a few days; alternatively you can mail it in.
This monthly paperwork process should take you about 5 minutes.
Good Faith Estimate
You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost. Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services.
You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services. You can ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service.
If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.
For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.
